Milan, the latest on Gattuso's possible lineup against Empoli
Putting their bitter draw to Atalanta behind them, Milan will now look forward to their midweek clash against Empoli. It's a chance for the rossoneri to return to winning ways and their manager, Gennaro Gattuso, seems like he will be making very few changes to his lineup.
Just like Gattuso explained in his press conference, Bonaventura has surpassed a small knee problem and will be a starter and Diego Laxalt is also ready to play from the first minute. There are still some battles for positions in the squad as Abate seems to be the favorite over Calabria who has been suffering from a fever in the last hours. Gonzalo Higuain's position in the lineup will be confirmed.
According to Manuele Baiocchini of Sky Sport, here is the probable eleven for Milan against Empoli:
Probable Milan (4-3-3): G. Donnarumma; Abate, Mussachio, Romagnoli, Laxalt; Kessie, Biglia, Bonaventura; Suso, Higuain, Calhanoglu.
