Milan, Scaroni:”I’m cautiously optimistic on Kessie’s extension”

"Would I sign right now for second place? The priority is to return to the Champions League. If we do better than that will we be happy? We have a long term strategy. Pioli is great at finding a mix with the young players on the squad, he built a real team, aggressive and fun" is how Paolo Scaroni started his interview with Rai Radio 1.

 Milan's president then discussed his coach and some of his key players:"Pioli was never in jeopardy of losing his job. We have a long term plan and when we lost a few games we never thought of making changes. Ibrahimovic? He always surprises us, I'm not sure what he has in mind for his future. Will there be Kessie's extension? I hope so. I have great confidence in Maldini and Massara who are negotiating with him, I keep a cautious optimism"

 Regarding the new stadium:"I'm optimistic that in October we'll make a decisive step forward, then we'll need time to realize it but at least we will be able to look to the future like Liverpool, United, PSG and Bayern"
