Milan, ongoing negotiation with new potential minority owner
The past few weeks have brought a lot of uncertainty to Milan especially in light of the recent issues with the ownership group as well as the upcoming UEFA ruling, but there maybe light at the end of the tunnel since a new minority owner could join president Li Yonghong.
As reported by Sky Sport, Jorge Mendes is in charge of brokering the deal to bring in a new partner to Milan’s ownership group. Cristiano Ronaldo and Andre’ Silva’s agent has developed an excellent relationship with Milan’s new management team and previously negotiated a similar deal between Peter Lim and Valencia. Mendes appears to currently be in Singapore, where he’s working on closing a deal with a partner whose identity has yet to be reveleaed beyond fact that an Indonesian entrepreneur from Kuala Lumpur, representing an Asian group could help the club pay off the debt owed to Elliott, the American fund that was instrumental in closing the deal last year
This is asignificant development for which we are still waiting official confirmation, the deal is still in a confidential stage but it could change the rossoneri’s future. The new partner could be announced at Friday’s board meeting, or more likely before the end of June, eventually the new minority owner could purchase all of Milan’s ownership stake.
