Milan, Gattuso on Donnarumma:”He isn’t serene, I need to protect him”
The win in the Coppa Italia against Hellas Verona this evening was almost an after thought considering all the controversy surrounding Gigio Donnarumma. After the match, Milan’s manager Rino Gattuso spoke about his young keeper:”You can see it by looking at his face that Donnarumma isn’t serene and this isn’t nice. He’s a nineteen year old player, I see the person and the athlete and I thank him for what he’s giving me: he never skipped a practice or a match, when I told him I didn’t want to bring him to Rijeka so he could rest he was upset for four days. I got to know a good person, i’ll always protect him, for what that is worth. He wants to leave? He never personally told me this, and every day the club says they don’t want to sell him”
