Matic officially joins Manchester United

Now it is all official. Nemanja Matic, the former Chelsea midfielder, will join Jose Mourinho's Manchester United. The Red Devils released an official announcement on their website: "Manchester United are delighted to announce the signing of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea on a three-year contract, with an option to extend for a further year."

Matic had the following words to say about joining Manchester United: "I am happy to be here. To work with Mourinho was an opportunity that I could not turn down. I want to thank Chelsea and the fans for their support. I can't wait to meet my new teammates and start training with them. I am looking forward to playing my part in creating more history for this great club."

Juventus were also interested in Matic.
