Marseille in talks for Simeone but face competition from Zenit

Cagliari and Marseille reached an agreement for Kevin Strootman earlier today and have now started talks for Giovanni Simeone's potential transfer to Ligue 1.

 Marseille however face competition from Zenit for the Argentine striker. Last season Simeone scored six goals to go with two assists in 33 Serie A matches.
