Marchisio to Juventus fans:”I missed your embrace”

After joining the club as an eight year old and going through their youth system to join the senior squad, Claudio Marchisio left Juventus last summer to join Zenit St Petersburg. Yesterday the midfielder returned to Turin to attend the match at the Allianz Stadium between his former team and Roma. Marchisio was clearly emotional and was too chocked up to speak, he instead enjoyed the moment in silence before sitting in the stands.

Today Marchisio thanked the fans through his social media accounts:”I know what I was missing, and that something was your embrace. As always and forever with my hand on my chest!
