Manchester United, Ashley Young turns down extension: defender wants to join Inter

As reported by the British press, Manchester United have offered Ashley Young a contract extension, but the defender has turned down the proposal as he wants to join Inter during the January window. Conte had tried to recruit him to Chelsea two seasons ago and has requested him for the stretch run of the Serie A season.

Young has told his current manager Ole Solksjaer that he does not want to keep playing for the club, now the ball is in Manchester United's court. Inter are waiting for the green light and are willing to pay a nominal fee to acquire Young who has an expiring contract. At this point it's just a matter of time before Young joins Inter.
