Lazio, Simone Inzaghi:"It bothered me to read about Sampaoli & Bielsa being dream managers"

Laat summer there was a lot of uncertainty with Lazio's manager position. The soap opera with Bielsa had many twists and turns, but in the end the biancocelesti ended up rehiring Simone Inzaghi who finished last season on a high note after replacing Pioli. Inzaghi talked about his return to the club in an interview to Corriere dello Sport:"I was at the beach with my family, the night that Italy and Germany were playing Lotito called me, he told me there were problems with Bielsa. He said if there were more issues he wanted me to coach Lazio which is my home, I've been here for 17 years, I have two kids born in Rome, they're Lazio fans, I said yes. Had it been anywhere else I would of thought about it, but not with Lazio. When Lotito called me back I accepted right away. The only thing that bothered me was hearing the press talking about the Sampaoli dream or the Bielsa dream. I didn't deserve it, I've been here 17 years, people would complain there weren't Lazio fans at Formello"
