Lazio, Lotito announces:”We renewed Inzaghi’s contract”

While many of Serie A’s top teams made a coaching change following the season, Lazio is going with continuity. In fact the biancocelesti will continue with Simone Inzaghi, a development president Claudio Lotito announced during an interview on Radio Uno:”We have renewed Inzaghi’s contract, and extension that was appropriate despite the things said in the media. I never intended a different outcome. Now we start over together to reach the objectives we’ve set in these three years and never attained. We are just missing the formal aspects but it’s all done. I was never worried, I know Inzaghi and we are a great family”

Lotito went on:”Our relationship transcends work and we decided to continue together. We never hesitated, then the spirit of common purpose prevailed. Juventus? I won’t get into if it was true or not, but I didn’t have direct contacts”.
