Lazio initiate contacts for goalkeeper Proto from Olympiacos

Lazio are looking for a backup to goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha, and have made contact with Olympiacos for Silvio Proto to attempt to fill the role. The 35-year-old Belgian who played many years at Anderlecht sat out a number of matches thanks to an ACL tear in 2016/17, but returned to play in Greece this past season. After selling Marchetti to Genoa, Lazio are hoping that a move for Proto could be the solution to their need at goalkeeper.
