Juventus, Sarri's words ahead of Genoa

Juventus will face Genoa at the Juventus Stadium on Wednesday. They will be trying to erase a disappoitning draw to Lecce from their memory and look to get back on track in Serie A. Their manager, Maurizio Sarri, spoke ahead of the match at a press conference: "The team is doing well. They are adapting to the new style of play. The sensation is that we still have to reach potential and have margins to get better. Genoa has a surprising technical quality given their position in the table. It's a team that can play football very well."

"Pjanic escaped without a lesion but he has a knock. We will evaluate his condition today, just like Higuain, who is not yet 100% after the knock against Lecce. Douglas Costa returned to the group yesterday but he is coming from a 45 day stop, we will evaluate whether to send him into the game as a sub. Cuadrado in the attacking trio? Today we will evaluate the situation based on the players we have available. Without Higuain it is difficult to think about a 4-3-3. A chance of rest for both Bonucci and de Ligt? At the moment I won't leave both of them out together."

He finished with his analysis of his own team: "We have reached a lower percent in respect to what we can create. We need to get better, above all from a mental point of view. We are the best defense in the league. This season the average goals given up by teams has gone up and we really have only given up goals on penalties."
