Douglas Costa had a good first season in Turin with Juventus, making 47 appearances while scoring 6 goals and creating 14 assists. What the numbers don't show is the huge impact he had on the team during the second half of the season. The club was convinced enough that they activated his purchase option to make the move from Bayern Munich permanent.

He sat down with Italian Football TV for an exclusive interview: "I think Serie A is a league very different from the others. It's a league that requires a bit of time. I needed six months to reach my best - and this year has everything to be an important year. After one year of adaptation, I think it will be a better season."

In Turin, Douglas Costa found more than just a team: "I think Juve truly knows how to hand pick a player, and when they get the player they treat him like part of the family. Allegri? He is a coach with a great passion for the defensive part and in my style of play, he was very important because I'm a player very used to attacking a lot, and in the defensive part he made me a more complete player. I think Allegri has a big portion of importance in my career."

Costa closed discussing Ronaldo's impact at Juventus: "I believe Ronaldo has everything to take us to another level and achieve important things this season. I think everyone will receive him well in the group. Everyone knows our team will raise its level, that's clear, you can't hide it."
