Juventus, Caceres the favorite to replace Benatia should the Moroccan defender leave: the latest
Mehdi Benatia seems more and more likely to leave as the Moroccan defender would like to go to Qatar and Al-Duhail (who have offered €10m plus bonuses for him). Juventus would then have to find a substitute in an unit where there are a lot of quality players with the likes of Chiellini, Bonucci, Rugani and Barzagli. The Bianconeri's plan would be to get an experienced player, who's already been in a Serie A team.
Skrtel and Ivanovic are on Paratici's list as there will be meetings with the Fenerbahce and Zenit's players agents. Despite that, Martin Caceres (who played at Juventus from 2012 to 2016) still is the favorite. The Uruguayan seemed on his way to Vissel Kobe (Japan) but Juventus' call has interrupted the negotiations.
The defender had already been blocked yesterday by Lazio, the deal moves forward: there's already a financial agreement with Caceres and both clubs now need to agree on the transfer fee.
