Juventus-Benfica, deal for Perin nears completion: the latest

Following Gigi Buffon’s return, Mattia Perin’s future at Juventus became uncertain. The former Genoa keeper is looking for an opportunity to play regularly so increase hai chances of participating in the next Euro, and now he’s close to joining Benfica. The Portuguese club will likely acquire him on loan with forced option to buy set €15 million. 

Rui Costa played a significant role in convincing Perin to accept the destination, they had numerous phone conversations in recent days. Perin could start the next chapter of his career in Portugal after one season at Juventus.
