Juventus, Allegri: ‘The new trend is saying we play bad. Points are the only thing that matter’

Juventus may have lost Barzagli, but their lead in the Serie A remains safely in their hands. Massimiliano Allegri appeared satisfied for the away win against Chievo in his post game interview with Sky Sport:

Bonucci wasn’t in his best shape, but I had to risk him. Like the rest of the team, he did well. Chameleon-like Juve? We try our best to play good football. Today Chievo played very well defensively, but we have to excel on both ends of the pitch. It was important to allow ourselves a good state of mind for the International break. Pjanic? He played well in this midfielder role. He had to consume less energy and thus remained sharp. Higuain? He did great as an outlet and in the overall play of the team. He definitely wasn’t angry at the end. Both him and Mandzukic did well: At the end of the day you can play with as many different styles as possible, the only thing that matters is that the players make themselves adaptable. It’s now become trendy to say that Juventus plays bad football, but I don’t care. We’ve won five consecutive titles and we’re still first in the league, points are the only thing that matter’.
