Jorge Sampaoli's attorney and AFA president Tapia will meet this weekend to work on exiting his Sevilla contract
There is a single name being pursued for the Argentina head coaching job, it's Jorge Sampoli, Sevilla's coach, and manager who led Chile to their 2015 Copa America victory. Edgardo Bauza, former national team coach, was removed from the position on Tuesday. The next step in luring Sampaoli into the role will be a meeting between his attorney and AFA president Tapia to look into the resolution of the current contract with Sevilla. There will be a meeting this weekend for Sampaoli's relatives and Argenta. As for Simeone, it will be unlikely that he entertains the opportunity, but a meeting would be possible as a courtesy to former team San Lorenzo's president, who is part of the federation.
