Inter, Spalletti:”The players suffered, they were able to hold on”

Inter have their longer winning streak in Serie A since September 2017 thanks to Mauro Icardi’s brace in Ferrara tonight. After the game manager Luciano Spalletti spoke to Sky Sport:”After a win in the Champions League, there’s a risk that everything returns to normal. For this match some choices had to be made: make a lot of changes, then those who were inserted would think they aren’t starters, we went with a half way decision. This match wasn’t easy, the players suffered, they were able to hold on”

Spalletti was asked about Mauro Icardi:”Today he played in a lower position, although he lost some balls when we could have restarted. He’s improving in this aspect, but he needs to give even more. Have I spoken to him in this period? We have spent a lot of mornings and afternoons together telling each other stories. I’ve been here for a year and a half it’s normal that we talk”
