Inter slow down in pursuit of Kumbulla while Lazio enter the race for the young defender
Inter are keeping a close eye on Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla, however the Nerazzurri have slowed down in their pursuit of the young Albanian. The Scudetto contenders are in fact in no rush of closing the deal for Kumbulla, also due to liquidity limitiations. The situation however could change, should the situation regarding the Lautaro Martinez deal with Barcelona be resolved.
In the past few weeks, the Nerazzurri have kept working on the signing of the defender with Verona and the player's agents, but in the last few hours the scenario has changed. The Albanian player is in fact in the radar of Juventus, however the Bianconeri have not stepped up their interest as of now. Another team has entered the race, with Lazio determined to forestall the competition and reach an agreement for the transfer of the player, also in virtue of the good relationship existing between the presidents of the two clobs Lotito and Setti.
For their part, Verona have already begun the search for Kumbulla's replacement. The Gialloblu have in fact eyed Roma's centre-back Mert Cetin, who was also a target during last January's transfer window.
