Inter, Pioli ahead of Hapoel Be'er Sheva: “We have a mountain to climb, but we will try”
Stefano Piolo speaks ahead of the fundamental Europa League match between Inter and Hapoel Be'er Sheva. It is an important match which comes only a few days after the derby in which Inter managed to steal a result in the final minutes: “We showed character against Milan. Tomorrow we want to give it our all as we did on Sunday. It will not be easy, but we will attempt to win. We studied Hapoel by reviewing our previous encounter with them. They are doing well in the league and for this reason we know that a very difficult opponent awaits us. But this game arrives at the best time. We must climb a mountain to achieve qualification, but we will try. How will we recover in the league? What matters is tomorrow. We will not think about other games for now.”
Banega’s lack of a start against Milan in the derby fueled speculation, but Pioli quickly put a stop to any discussion of controversy: “We are speaking about a great player. I do not punish anyone; I only select the players which I believe to be best suited for each match. I cannot say whether or not he will play. I like a dynamic midfield. Do I feel any pressure? It normal to because it is a part of football. We are Inter and we therefore must impose our style of play.”
