Inter, from Lautaro Martinez to the January transfer window: Marotta speaks

With yesterday's victory over Spal, Inter has surpassed Juventus at the top of the Serie A table. Their CEO, Giuseppe Marotta, spoke at the Assembly to elect a new president of Serie A, saying: "The path was thought out by Suning, so great credit to the owners who are giving economic and financial stability. The sporting work is going well and we are happy with this, our goal is to raise the bar in respect to past seasons. We are getting excellent results, but we are not resting on this: we are looking to work, which is the same idea of Conte, because it can bring great satisfaction."

"Market? We will look to what is being offered in January and seize opportunities, with considering also that the group is demonstrating that it deserves certain acknowledgement. Our respect is total. This is a winning model, where with winning I intend to give the maximum regardless of what the objectives are."

"Lukaku-Lautaro duo? This is the right chemistry between two players of great value. The hand of the coach is important, because he knows how to get the best out of these resources with his tactical style. Between Lautaro and Lukaku, aside from being friends off the field, there is great harmony. Martinez's contractual situation is not compromising: the player is very grateful towards Inter, then the ownership wants to continue to grow and this does not entail giving up assets. Of course, the will of the player is important but at this time there are no such talks. He knows well the faith we have in him, we couldn't imaging a difference of opinion in the negotiation of a contract."
