Inter, Conte's pre-match comments ahead of Gladbach: "Hakimi has potential, but he must work hard"

Inter have a difficult Champions League match on their horizon after a smooth 3-0 win over Sassuolo on Saturday. The nerazzurri must win in order to continue hoping for access to the competition's knockout rounds. Ahead of the match, coach Antonio Conte spoke to the press, starting with a thought on Hakimi: "I don't like to single out players. Go read what I said at the start of the year about him. He has great potential, but he must work a lot, mostly in the defense phase. Don't forget that in Italy there is pressure and expectations much higher than other leagues like the German or English ones."

"Real Madrid? There were lots of negative comments spoken after the loss, it was said that the opponents had their way. It's not to be forgotten that from 30' we were 10 against 11, and at 4' we gave away a penalty that changed the match. They punished us for a situation of our own making, we can't allow that in that type of match or it becomes too difficult. Tomorrow we will face a very good team that is doing well in the Champions League, we must give our best and come away with no regrets. The only way to remain alive in the competition is to win tomorrow. We know it won't be easy, Borussia has shown what they are made of."
