Inter, Conte: "A special night. Scudetto? Today we can dream."
Inter manager Antonio Conte spoke on his team's 4-2 comeback win over Milan, which brought the nerazzurri into a tie for first place in the league.
"It was a special night because in the first half we went into great difficulty, maybe like never before this year, and there was a risk of losing control. Instead we were great at regaining balance and rediscovering confidence. The credit goes to the players."
"I am happy beyond the result, being able to resist the knocks means that we're prepared to grow and do something special. The scudetto? It's very early to speak on these things, but today we can dream. This period of 10 matches will be intense for us and after we will be able to say something more about us, our abilities and on the chance in a different way than from the beginning of the season. We will take on difficult matches, the Coppa Italia, and Lazio who has started an important run. It takes patience and time, but we're doing excellent things and today the guys showed that they have great strength and attributes."
"What happened at halftime? There wasn't a need to speak a lot. In difficult situations, you must be clear and take on responsibility. Everyone did that. Compact and as a team, you can come out of difficult situations. This will give us strength for the future. What to do to play better than today's first half? Play the second one."
"The players and I know what went wrong and with humility we made modifications. Today was very important for us, it made us understand that we must always use our heads and not only our legs. First the head, accompanied by the heart, then the legs because physically we are well."
"Eriksen needs to rediscover his rhythm, to enter into our ideas of football, we tried to start him behind Lukaku but I chose Sanchez at the end. Having a situation with Tottenham in which he didn't know if he was staying or leaving wasn't easy, but he's an important player for us. Roberto Mancini? I wish to do what he did at Inter and I wish him the best with Italy because he's doing a great job."
