Genoa will remain with Preziosi: the offer to purchase the club is withdrawn

After months of talks and over the summer an official offer from Gestio Capital to purchase Genoa, there will not in fact be any sale of the club. The firm headed by Matteo Manfedi confirmed the end of the negotiation in a statement, which revealed a €105m offer for Genoa CFC amid months of discussions around the sale. The conditions for a successful negoiation however were never met, and after attempting to reconcile the sides in recent weeks, Gestio Captil decided to withdraw the offer.

The potential deal also featured Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani as minority partner via his Aser Ventures. However, the offer ultimately was judged too low by Genoa's president Preziosi, who, after 17 years of ownership is ready to sell, but for now he will retain ownership.
