Genoa, Preziosi:"Pavoletti will certainly be on the bench for derby"

While most of the attention going into the derby della Lanterna has been on Sampdoria because of the uncertainty surrounding manager Giampaolo, Genoa is focused on recuperating striker Leonardo Pavoletti. On Thursday coach Ivan Juric held a closed door practice session, president Enrico Preziosi attended the session and then gave an update on his signature player:"I know that today they're giving him a try out, maybe he can play a half hour, maybe twenty minutes or nothing. Are we the favorites? The derby is a stand alone match. Juric is a leader, let's hope it's like Bologna where we were able to win without him. Will I send a message to (Sampdoria president) Ferrero? Absolutely not, we're focused on Genoa not the opponents. We have great relations, we're focused on us"
