Genoa, Nicola becomes favorite to replace Thiago Motta

Genoa are ready to appoint their new manager after deciding to sack Thiago Motta following the heavy loss to Inter last Saturday. Former Crotone and Udinese coach Davide Nicola is now the favorite, the club had previously pursued Ballardini and Diego Lopez.

The squad will resume training on December 29th with the new manager at the helm, Nicola previously played for Genoa and has always wanted to coach his former team.
