Genoa contact Shevchenko for their managerial job: the latest

The Ballardini era at Genoa is set to end. Again. The new owners have a particular idea in mind. They are thinking about Andriy Shevchenko, who has experience with the Ukrainian National Team. He is ready to return to Italy to manage a club.  

 It is a surprising choice and could take place in the coming hours to take advantage of the international break which will allow the former Milan player more time to work with the team before their game with Roma on Friday, November 21. Ballardini has not been informed of the decision. 

 The contact with Genoa has been ongoing for a while. Both parties are working on a three year contract or a two year contract with an option for a third season. It would be an important opportunity for Shevchenko, who wants to measure himself in Serie A. 

After the Euros, Shevchenko decided to leave Ukraine and wait for an offer from a club. An offer came from Italy, a country that he knows well. It is his big chance and he does not want to make a mistake.
