Genoa close to signing former Roma midfielder Strootman

Kevin Strootman is close to becoming a new Genoa player. The Dutch midfielder is in fact set to return to Serie A, where he played with Roma until 2018, as Genoa are one step away from completing his transfer from Olympique Marseille.

Strootman will return to Italy on loan with no option to buy, however the parties will discuss the possibility to make the deal permanent at the end of the season. The Dutchman could land in Italy next week and become a significant addition to Ballardini's squad.
