Gelson Martins agrees to terms with Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid have made progress on the Gelson Martins front. The Portuguese striker prefers the Colchoneros over Monaco and the possibility of heading to the Premier League, in the next few days his representatives are expected to finalize a five year contract with an annual salary of €3 million plus a half a million in bonuses.

Martins has rescinded his contract with Sporting Lisbon after the altercation with fans from last March, at this point Atletico will handle potential sanctions from FIFA regarding the transfer. Diego Simeone is ready to welcome a new addition.
