From Buffon to Chiesa: the words of Sebastian Frey
Sebastian Frey is a symbol of Serie A, having played 15 years in Italy for Inter, Verona, Parma Fiorentina and Genoa. Interviewed by Sky Sport, the former goalie touched on two very hot topics: the possible return of Gianluigi Buffon to Juventus and the future of Federico Chiesa under the new viola management of Rocco Commisso.
"I saw Gigi this year with PSG, I believe he is arriving at the end and it was right to conclude like this, then he is probably still motivated and returns to his home. I think it could be good ending, I don't think he will return to being a protagonist because for me Szczesny made everyone see his value. I believe that they will still point to him. Buffon will close where he can have a future as a director."
"With the viola ownership I believe it maybe was the right moment to change, there was a break and no point of return. Now I see a lot of entusiasm on the part of Commisso, therefore I wish him a lot of luck. In these days we will see what his intentions are with Fiorentina, starting with Chiesa who is the most important of this summer market. Maybe he should remain for at least another year, there is a love for him and I would have another year in Florence as a protagonist and captain, I think he also needs it from a personal point of view in terms of responsibility, and maybe later on will be the right time to change to a team of a European level."
