Fiorentina, Martinez Quarta to undergo medical in Argentina as deadline approaches

Fiorentina are trying to make a final signing for theire defence before the end of the transfer window. The impasse regarding River Plate defender Martinez Quarta seems to be resolving.

The two clubs have finally reached an agreement over a transfer fee and now the last hurdle that the Viola have to overcome before completing the signing of the 24-year-old centre-back is the medical. The player will undergo a medical in Argentina, after the Italian club was persuaded to give the go-ahead to the medical tests in Argentina.

With just a few hours left before the deadline, Fiorentina are hopeful they can complete the signing of the Argentinian defender.
