Fiorentina-Ricci: Discussions progressing for Empoli midfielder

Samuele Ricci is close to joining Fiorentina. The Viola are in pole position to acquire the class of '01 midfielder from Empoli. The parties have met and are now discussing lowering the request from the azzurro club. Empoli is asking for 15 million euro, which is too much for Fiorentina, as the viola would like to lower the asking price to 11 million and close the deal. It is not out of the question to make this a loan deal with the right to buy which could help economically facilitate this deal for Commisso's club. Ricci recently turned 18 and played as a starter last season in Serie B, making 28 appearances. Napoli and Milan have also expressed interest in the player over the past months.
