The negotiation between Inter and Barcelona for Lautaro Martinez is in stand-by, as the president Josep Bartomeu confirms to Mundo Deportivo: "We have been talking with Inter but now it's all stalled, we're focused on Champions League". Besides, Barcellona has to deal with many renewals of its top players, starting with Leo Messi, whose contract expires in 2021 as Suarez's one. "Messi said many times that he wants to retire here and I have no doubt on his renewal", Bartomeu says. "I have a good relationship with him. Suarez? Luis has a contract that can be automatically renewed to 2021-22 depending on a certain number of matches played by him".

The current priority is another one: "The prior renewal, for me, is Marc-Andrè ter Stegen's one. Not just for his quality as goalkeeper, but for his personality too. He's 28 years old and he is one of the three best goalkeepers in the world".
