Chievo joins race for Balotelli: striker open to destination, the situation

Chievo is looking to make a significant transfer move in the last few weeks of the window. The club owned by Campedelli is in fact trying to sign Mario Balotelli, although it won't be easy to land the striker. The biggest hurdle are the player's wages, since Liverpool would have to pay almost all of them if he joins Chievo, which is not the case should he head to Ajax, who is willing to pay a higher percentage of his salary.

While the negotiation with Liverpool hasn't begun, Chievo's sporting director Nember had lunch with Balotelli, who has indicated he's open to the destimation. The two have remained in touch, they have a relationship dating back to their time together at Lumezzane. Chievo is serious about landing Super Mario.
