Chelsea, Sarri's training method contains "no weights"
Maurizio Sarri has overturned many of Chelsea's old habits. The former Napoli manager, who arrived in London this past summer, has had a flying start to the season by improving the overall quality of the club and the players within; it is not just in the Premier League that they are succeeding, it is in the Europe League as well.
A method that the Italian uses in training (proving some assumptions from earlier), was clarified in a press conference by Sarri himself today: his team no longer use any type of tool for weight training, there is only aerobic and isometric exercises to work on strength and explosiveness. Alvaro Morata will be the latest example for fans to notice not using any weights in training.
"Alvaro will not do any weight work. Yesterday he had an aerobic workout, but either way, we do not use any kind of weights in training".
