Cagliari, surprise push for Simeone: player is close to transfer

The deal seemed nearly done for a transfer to Sampdoria, but now the destination could be Cagliari. Giovanni Simeone is on his way out from Fiorentina, but he may not land in Liguria. The Sardinian club, in fact, made a surprise push for the player and is offering 15 millions euros plus one million in bonus. This exceeds the offer from Ferrero's club of 14 million plus one million, and the club does not intend to raise their offer.

Giulini's push seems decisive, as Simeone may be headed to Cagliari. Sampdoria, for now, will acquire only Rigoni.
