Cagliari, midifielder Lucas Castro ruptures cruciate ligament

While the team prepares to face Torino in the Monday night Serie A match, Cagliari received some bad news from the infirmary. After undergoing medical tests in Villa Stuart, Argentinian midfileder Lucas Castro has been diagnosed the rupture of the cruciate ligament of his left knee and will be out for several months.

The player, who suffered the injury in training, wasn't in the squad for the upcoming match as confirmed by the Sardi's coach Maran in the pre-match press conference. The former Chievo player will now undergo surgery and then start his recovery programme that will keep him sidelinded for most of the season.
