Bologna's van Hooijdonk a serious target for Heerenveen

The journery of Syndney van Hooijdonk at Bologna could be over after a few short months. 

The 2000-born central striker, who has only four appearances thus far in Serie A (with 0 starts), could return to the Netherlands.

There is interest in him from Heerenveen, currently 10th place in Eredivisie, as confirmed by their techincal director Ferry de Haan to the Leeuwarder Courant: "We are following him, even if we have not had daily contacts." Van Hooijdonk could arrive as a reinforcement for the second half of the season joining sole option Henk Veerman in the squad.

In his four appearances, van Hooijdonk appeared in the season's first match against Salernitana, then played 21' against Inter, 9' against Napoli and only one minute against Sampdoria in a substitute role for Mihajlovic.
