Benfica hold meeting with Sassuolo for Scamacca: their initial offer has been rejected

Benfica are holding meetings with Sassuolo in Milan to discuss the transfer of Gianluca Scamacca, the player currently on loan at Ascoli in Serie B. The president of the Portuguese club could remain there until he convinces Sassuolo to sell the forward, also present is his agent Paolo Paloni. Benfica's initial offer of €10m plus add-ons was rejected by Sassuolo, but it has not discouraged them as they wish to successfully negotitate a transfer for January, and are planning on traveling to speak with the player in Ascoli on Thursday.
