Barcelona's Umtiti very close to signing for Italian side Lecce

Italian side U.S. Lecce are working to complete the unexpected signing of Samuel Umtiti from Barcelona. Parties are in advanced talks and the French centre-back, who won the World Cup as a starter in 2018, is very close to joining Serie A team.

Lecce and Barcelona could seal a deal on loan - due to the fact that Umtiti's contract with Barça is expiring in 2026.
