Barcelona-Jordi Alba, progress on extension front: the latest

Barcelona are making progress in their efforts to lock up a key player to an extension. Jordi Alba is in fact close to agreeing to a new contract after already appearing in close to 200 matches for the blaugrana.

The defender’s agent and Barcelona are working on a new deal through 2023 with an annual salary of €9 million. Considering that Jordi Alba is 29, this would be just last significant contract, the parties are now close to reaching an agreement.
