Atalanta-Chelsea to have meeting on Monday to discuss potential Abraham transfer

Similarly to the Romero deal, whose transfer to Tottenham from Atalanta would boost the transfer of Demiral from Juventus, the possible return of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea could start a chain reaction in the transfer market, especially involving strikers.

While Chelsea are working to sign the Belgian n.9 from Inter, the Nerazzurri are pondering their options, should Lukaku leave the club with Duvan Zapata the main candidate to be his replacement at Inter.

With Lukau to Chelsea and Zapata to Inter, Atalanta would need a striker, with Tammy Abraham first on the list of potential targets for their attack. Atalanta are in fact prepared to submit a bid to Chelsea for the Englishman as they will be in London this weekend to play a friendly match against West Ham.

La Dea's directors are considering to extend their stay in the English capital in order to discuss a potential deal for Abraham with Chelsea's representatives.

Should Zapata leave the club, Atalanta would have a budget of about €40 million (bonuses included) to reinvest on the transfer market and to try and bring in Tammy Abraham as reinforcement for coach Gasperini.
