Atalanta, Amrabat & Thorsby targeted to bolster midfield

Atalanta are working to bring in a midfielder that can be an alternative to De Roon and Freuler. In addition to Sampdoria's Thorsby, the bergamaschi are also considering Sofyan Amrabat.

 Amrabat, a player Atalanta manager Gasperini appreciates, was one of the most significant additions made since Rocco Commisso took over the club, and the owner is reticent to give up on him so quickly after investing significantly to acquire him.

 Fiorentina will gauge Amrabat's desire to stay as well as Vlahohic, who is still a target for Atletico Madrid, before making their final decision. Thorsby remains the alternative to Amrabat.
