Aston Villa: Gerrard has been sacked. Official statement confirms.

Steven Gerrard is no longer the coach of Aston Villa. The Premier League club officially communicated the decision after today’s heavy 3-0 defeat to Fulham. The Birmingham club is in 18th place in the table, on par with Wolverhampton, and have therefore decided to change technical guidance and look elsewhere.

Below, the official statement from Aston Villa on Gerrard: "Aston Villa Football Club can confirm that coach Steven Gerrard has left the club with immediate effect. A club spokesman said: ‘We would like to thank Steven for his hard work and commitment and wish him all the best for the future.’
