AC Milan contact Zaniolo's entourage

Milan is ready to get serious about Nicolò Zaniolo. Roma's number 22 is on the market and has become one of the targets of the Rossoneri in the winter market. The player would prefer to stay in Italy, and so Milan tries. Plus, Milan is also willing to go beyond the simple loan and will try with a buy option.  

Today there was a contact between Milan and the player's entourage: the Rossoneri could resort to a loan with a buy obligation in case of qualification for the Champions League to bring the player to Milan, but at a figure not exceeding 25 million euros, including bonuses. In these hours the club will talk about it with Roma to understand if it can be a fair evaluation for the player.  

Roma-Zaniolo, the situation

The fact that Nicolò Zaniolo is on the market, by now, is no secret. He arrived in Rome from Inter in the summer of 2018, the Italian has his contract expiring in 2024 and could leave the Giallorossi colors in this window. José Mourinho also expressed himself on the situation in the pre-match conference before the Spezia game where he stated: "I understand Nicolò Zaniolo's desire to leave, the market is open, but I feel that he will stay".  

The player has asked not to be called up for the last league game and is thus preparing to pack his bags. Milan could be a solution: the player would remain in Italy, Milan would give Pioli an extra weapon on the pitch. This season, Zaniolo played 13 games and scored 1 goal.
